In February 2025, Hattiesburg launched the first major update of the Hattiesburg Comprehensive Plan since 2008. The process is an opportunity for all Hattiesburg residents, business and property owners, and other community members to help shape the City’s future. The updated Comprehensive Plan will re-establish the vision and goals for Hattiesburg, as well as update the policy foundation to guide where and how the City grows, and what new opportunities might become available to residents in the future.
This website will be the community’s go-to source of information throughout the process.

Facilitate Your Own Plan150 Workshop
Thank you to everyone who came out to the community engagement workshops from July 17th to July 19th! Your participation is key to putting together an excellent comprehensive plan.
If you would like to facilitate your own Plan150 Workshop for your friends, family, coworkers, students, sports team, faith community, band, or any other community group you're in, we have put together the following materials for you to print and distribute to your Workshop Group.

These include a link to the Online Facilitator Worksheet, which you will use to submit your workshop's takeaways.

Please have your workshop and submit your facilitator worksheet by no later than September 5th* so we can incorporate your feedback into the plan.

If you don't have a printer, feel free to pick up a meeting packet from City Hall. You'll need one packet for every eight attendees.
Community Survey
The Hattiesburg 150 Community Survey remains open for residents to share their opinion on various issues relevant to the future development of the City.
The survey will close at 5:00pm on September 15th, 2025.
Future Deliverables
The Consultant Team is preparing a Fact Base for the project, which will include key data about the City that will facilitate policy development during Phase 4 of the project.

The purpose of the 2008 Comprehensive Plan was to identify the long-range goals and policies that should be used to guide public and private decision-making related to Hattiesburg‘s future growth and community development from 2008-2028.
